Creating a link with Openr is easy, but what happens if you want to create a hundred all with the same Openr window? Campaigns allow you to set up your Openr window with a particular marketing message, call-to-action, and design that you can reuse over and over again.

Campaigns are perfect for those who like to share articles which are part of a series, or follow a particular theme over a prolonged period of time. The biggest advantage is a more streamlined workflow. You can set up Openr window a lot quicker and be confident that the message you’ve chosen fits the overall marketing approach.

Here’s how it works…

Step 1:

Navigate to the Campaigns tab on the left hand side of the dashboard. Click the “Add New Campaign” button at the bottom of the page.


Step 2:

Add your Campaign details. This includes which Profile you want the Campaign assigned to, the name of your Campaign, and a brief description. Then click next.


Step 3:

Just like you would create a regular link, this page allows you to choose your message, specify a call-to-action, and change the design.


Remember, what you choose here will be applied to every new link you create for this particular Campaign – unless you set up multiple messages within your campaign, which we’ll tell you more about below.


The Advanced features of Campaigns also has options for “Geo Targeting” and “A/B Testing,” which we’ll explain properly in upcoming tutorials.

Step 4:

Once you’ve hit “Save Changes,” your message will display within your Campaign.


By following the same process, you can create multiple messages within the same campaign. This is great if you want to try different messages and copy in your Openr window and see which one performs best!


Step 5:

Now it’s time to start applying your Campaign message to new links.

Simply head back to the Create New Link window (either from the dashboard or by clicking the Link button on the top right hand corner). Here you’ll see the Campaign option. If you’ve created a Campaign you can select it from the drop down menu and all the message and design options will magically disappear (because you’ve already created them in your Campaign).

The only thing that’s left to do is choose one of your pre-existing messages. Most people leave this for the system to select automatically – but if you have more than one message in your campaign, and plan to use a specific one – simply select it from the drop down menu.


Step 6:

Once you’re happy with everything, click “Create” and you can start sharing your link as you do normally.

As you can see, Campaigns are a great way to setup your message and call-to-action ahead of time. That way whenever you have a new piece of content to share with your audience, you can create your link in half the time.

It’s also great if you manage a team and want to set up the campaign for them. That way everything is in place for when they log in to the system and start creating their own links.
